Theater of the absurd pc game

They're still too easy for my taste, but at least there were a couple of tricky ones. It seems like recent HOGs have become ridiculously easy. It's a shame Big Fish still charges so much for the PC versions of these games. Misses: - The non-HO puzzles are way too easy. I really wish developers could figure out a way to scale puzzles with the chosen difficulty level. I miss being challenged in these kind of games. If you like your HOGs on the creepy side, definitely check this one out! Rated 5 out of 5 by Ancientsymbols from Great Game!

Challenging and unique. It's scary, it's very different than the normal fare, quite long, with an unusual graphic style, spooky sound effects, awesome cut scenes and voice acting, and the storyline is wonderful. Gameplay isn't always as challenging as it could be as you are hand-held a little too much, and a couple of the HOGs are too dark and cluttered so finding some objects is difficult. However, other than these two minor annoyances, everything else is just brilliant.

I love the occult though, so always buy these types of games, and Theatre of the Absurd is one of the best to come out all year so far. Very unusual game and, from me, a recommended must buy. Rated 5 out of 5 by etnate from Magic This game is magical. Not like fairies and unicorns are magic but like how alchemy and witches are magic. Visually this games is weird. In a way the graphics are superior to most and in a way inferior to most.

It's like playing on a 64 bit console. Some of the animations are one-dimensional yet more detailed than usual. The soundtrack is fantastic with most rooms getting it's own music and style. This game is creepy. Some games think it's being creepy but this one really does deliver however it isn't frightening.

This is a LONG game and you definitely get your money's worth. The opening sequence is awesome. You don't even realize it's the opening sequence until it smoothly segues to the title screen because they have you playing before the introductions even start. Presentation wise this is one of the best I've played. I really felt like this was more of a console game and less of a casual PC game. I can't explain really why this game is so good but play the demo and you'll see what I mean.

It delivers to the very end of the game. The bonus material is fair. I don't want to give away the game mechanics here but in the bonus material something is really mad at you and you will get no help, no hints.

This is good for a challenge. It's a great game. I played it in one sitting and this is a long game Rated 5 out of 5 by GypsyBeLoved from I loved this game!

After playing the demo in full I bought it. It captured me right from the start. The graphics are cool, the storyline is great. You play in the first person, which I like. There's lots of places to go and the HOS are great. Not too easy and not impossible to find. The sound quaility is fantastic and lovely. Try this game. You'll love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by summerbreeze from Theatre of the Absurd CE Really had a great time with this one. The graphics were excellent as well as the story line. Had trouble with the HOS and the smaller objects, had to use hint on some of them. This game really made me feel as though I was really there and doing the searches. We need more games like this one Would highly recommend this one to all : Date published: Rated 5 out of 5 by Tigs from Definitely different Like at least one other I took one look at the file size and gingerly pressed the download-demo button.

I'm so glad I did. It's definitely different to most other games around at the moment. Normally I skip through those because they take so long. You have tasks and goals immediately, helped by 'the arm' thankfully. I wasn't so sure about that type of hint but it makes a change from the usual 'glowing pointer' or 'There is nothing to do here at the moment' kind of clue. It can be a little bit confusing at first knowing where to look next but you soon get the hang of moving the cursor everywhere to see where it changes.

Definitely one for May new punch card to fill. I haven't got to the Marmite bit yet from another reviewer but it's defintely NOT Marmite hate the stuff. This is very good.
